Dr. Melissa McCulley is a Fargo native who has built her career on excellence, compassion, and artistry. She studied at Boston College, graduating with honors in Spanish and pre-medical studies, then earned her Doctor of Optometry with honors from the Southern College of Optometry. Before returning home, she spent four years in downtown Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota’s Department of Ophthalmology, fitting specialty contact lenses and caring for low-vision patients.
That experience shows in how she practices today, fitting your first contacts, treating dry eye, and guiding you through your first pair of progressive lenses. Her patient-centered approach has earned her recognition as a CooperVision Best Practices Honoree. Outside the clinic, she enjoys painting, reading, baking, and lake weekends with her husband, Rial, and their two daughters.
